The MetroNID and EtherNID units are empowered with built-in Creanord EchoAgent technology enabling carrier-grade automation, real-time reporting and element management by operating in a tightly coupled manner with Creanord EchoVault.

All Creanord Managed Ethernet Access devices are built on the patent-pending Fast-Thru architecture, a unique hardware-based design that provides advanced Ethernet service creation, traffic monitoring and performance testing capabilities in a compact, cost efficient, carrier-grade access device.

Unlike store-and-forward architectures, Fast-Thru's proprietary silicon design provides wire-speed pass-through performance without adding jitter or delay, while at the same time providing microsecond measurement resolution and real-time processing for every packet flowing through the unit.

With transparent fail-over, NEBS Level 3 certification, no fans or moving parts, and 3-way redundant power, MetroNID and EtherNID demarcation units are truly carrier-grade. A variety of mounting options, including the rack-mount EtherSHELF enable easy installation at the customer premise, cell site or CO.

MetroNODE 10GE is based on the proven heritage of the dedicated-silicon Fast-Thru architecture of EtherNID and MetroNID units delivering the features carriers need, without compromise. The MetroNODE 10GE packet performance node brings unrivalled service creation & assurance performance to critical, high-density, 10GbE applications.

Designed for the needs of 3G & 4G wireless backhaul, business services and inter-carrier wholesale services, the MetroNODE 10GE unit offers complete Ethernet OAM and layer 2 & 3 monitoring, complemented by bandwidth policy enforcement, service mapping and filtering to deliver total visibility and control.

The all-hardware, pipelined design ensures quality of service (QoS) is fully assured, but never compromised. Without the store-and-forward processing used by switches and routers, the 10GE effortlessly handles 1,000s of flows in a full line-rate link within microseconds.
