Service Assurance

Automated topology aware SLA-meterechovault-traffic-meter-per-second-visibility

Creanord EchoVault provides automated topology aware SLA-Meter for performance and Service Level Agreement (SLA) monitoring. Template driven provisioning of the customer specific SLA is as easy as provisioning the Ethernet service. Easy operation is achieved with EchoVault topology algorithm supporting point-to-point, hub-and-spoke and mesh topologies. Hideous manual configuration of each measurement leg is eliminated thus less time is spent for delivering a complete SLA backed carrier class Ethernet service.

Traffic-Meter with one second resolution

Traditional bandwidth monitoring falls short in Carrier Ethernet because legacy network elements provide traffic counters only for physical interfaces. In Carrier Ethernet different traffic classes share the same physical interfaces and are usually separated to individual VLANs. The Creanord EchoVault’s Traffic-Meter enables measuring the traffic based on L2 and L3 criteria of choice making it possible to measure different flows with unique one second resolution - sampling 300 times faster than SNMP-based polling.

Throughput-Meter (RFC-2544)

Advanced throughput and RFC-2544 test capabilities allow service providers to perform fully automated and documented turn-up tests, then monitor committed and excess throughput in-service without disrupting customer traffic.

In-Service Throughput Testing

With seamless in-line, in-service testing, there’s no waiting for maintenance windows to validate and troubleshoot Ethernet services. It’s only throughput measurement technique available that tests services under real-world traffic conditions – providing a true picture of the customer’s QoS experience, and permitting throughput monitoring for SLA validation.

Using a unique, patent-pending approach, EtherNID ™ and MetroNID ™ units use actual customer traffic as part of the overall test pattern to validate committed throughput, burst performance, delay, jitter and frame loss. Tests can be unidirectional or bidirectional with independent throughput tests in each direction.

Automated RFC-2544 Test Suite

The fully-automated RFC-2544 Test Suite simplifies performance assurance with straightforward traffic stream setup, user-defined test parameters and thresholds, and comprehensive results reporting – a complete turn-up test and service baseline solution integrated into the service endpoints.
